Kettering University (formerly, GM Engineering & Management Institute) is known for linking transformative experiential learning experience with rigorous academic undergraduate and graduate degree programs and its School of Management is seeking a teacher-scholar who can bridge the gap between technological innovations of Industry 4.0 and practice of business through actively pursuing engaged scholarship in addressing real-world issues by means of advancing substantial-high-quality intellectual contributions that foster innovation and impact the theory, practice, and teaching of business and management. The teaching and research interests of the candidate should be centered on an intellectual vibrancy that deals with how firms can ensure value creation and appropriation in their technological transformation. This position will enhance the School of Management to be an integral part of an academic community of scholars within the university and across the broader academic community of institutions in higher education. The successful candidate will be an innovative, open, and persuasive leader and skilled collaborator who will have the experience and interest in developing continuing relationships with clients or target organizations, identifying and scoping out project work to be accomplished, engaging with students and client sponsors and managers on those projects, and assuring that all involved are demonstrating excellence in value creation.

Kettering University will give preference to candidates with a combination of academic, scholarly, and professional background and experience commensurate with appointment to a tenured or tenure track faculty in the School of Management. Additionally, candidates with experience at the senior managerial or executive level and a well-established track record of commitment to working as members of problem-solving cohorts serving enterprise initiatives will be highly valued.

• An earned Ph.D. degree in Management or a closely related business discipline from an AACSB accredited institution.
