Qualifications. A Ph.D. in management or related field is required. Ph.D. completed by August 2020 is preferred, but ABDs will be considered. Significant industry experience will also be considered in candidate evaluation. University. Southwestern University is a selective, undergraduate institution committed to a broad-based liberal arts, sciences and fine arts education. Southwestern currently enrolls approximately 1,500 students and maintains a student to faculty ratio of 12 to 1. Applicants should submit (1) a cover letter that speaks to their desire to teach business within a liberal arts university setting with a diverse student population, (2) a curriculum vitae or resume, (3) a brief statement of teaching philosophy and interest and experiences working with diverse student populations, (4) two confidential letters of reference (at least one addressing teaching performance and/or potential), and (5) a short list of courses in which you have a strong interest in teaching.
